Buenos Aires, December 30 (NA) – The Central Bank of Argentina's (BCRA) gross reserves closed the year at USD 41.165 billion, thanks to the financial backing of the International Monetary Fund. During the year, international assets increased by USD 11.558 billion. Through November, USD 14.469 billion came in from the IMF, but USD 2.782 billion in interest were paid. Analysts believe that the government should request a waiver from the IMF for about USD 12 billion, given the almost certain default in the accumulation of foreign exchange.
